As a weddding photographer in South Wales I understand just how important your wedding photos are. So I am commited to giving you the absolute best wedding photography experience possible. Here are a few things that will help me achieve that goal.

1. Prompt turnaround times

I want your wedding photos to be ready as soon as possible after your wedding day. I will endeavor to have all your wedding photos delivered to you as soon as possible. This is usually with four to six weeks after the wedding. Depending on the time of the year; high season and low season will depend on where in that delivery time window your photos will be with you. As you can imagine July and August is the busiest time for me as a wedding photographer in South Wales. Its peak wedding season.

2. Use of light

I will use natural light whenever possible throughout the wedding day. South Wales can be quite hostile weather wise to photographers when it comes to weather and available light. So I highly recommend using natural light whenever I can. I will still however aim to use off camera flash and strobes to introduce certain dramatic flash techniques later in the evening. Especially for sunset photos and any other photographic situations that require such style and technique.

3. Be open to suggestions

I would love to help you create the perfect wedding photos. Having shot over 700 weddings in South Wales I know most venues really well and obvioulsy have my own ideas for photographs, but if you have any suggestions then I am always open to new photography ideas. If you have any suggestions or comments for your wedding day I would be excited to hear what you have to say. Even though I have my own style of photography there is no right or wrong way to capture a wedding day as long as the quality of photography is there through out the wedding.

4. Offsite wedding photographs

Going offsite from the wedding venue is a great idea if time allows to capture bride and groom photos in a different or dramatic location. This idea has become extremely popular over the last few years with couples getting married in South Wales. I cover the majority of my weddings in Swansea, South Wales and with the Gower on my doorstep its easy to find some stunning backdrops such as worms head or three cliffs bay for photos and sunset photos on the evening of your wedding.

The image opposite was technically and offsite photo but without going too far off the grounds of Llanerch vineyard for a wedding in Summer of 2022. With the bride and groom wanting a sunset photo and having extensive experience of the correct spot to grab a sunset photo at this wedding venue we grabbed this silhouette later in the evening. Not every wedding venue in South Wales will allow you to easily get a sunset photo, so its important to know exactly where the correct locations are around the South Wales area.

Planning a wedding in South Wales can be a hugely fun and exciting process, with a wealth of stunning locations and stunning wedding venues to choose from. From country estates and castles to coastal towns and beautiful country villages, there is something to suit all your needs for a South Wales wedding. Stunning coastal towns such as Porthcawl, Mumbles and Tenby have some amazing venues nearby that offer quick access to the coastline for beach wedding photos
